CAMPBELL RIVER GYMNAST MAKES HISTORY

Liam Deagle of the Campbell River Gymnastics Association has qualified for his first ever Canadian Championships.  Not only is this a first for him but he is also the first gymnast to qualify for Nationals from Campbell River.

Liam is excited to represent team BC at this year’s Canadian Championships held in Edmonton June 1-5.  Liam will be traveling without coach Esteban Baeza.  Esteban is confident Liam can perform at his best with traveling team BC coaches Mike Hood and Kris Krunick.

Liam recently returned from representing team BC at the Western Canadian Championships held in Richmond.  Liam had an excellent performance coming home in fifth place in the All Around.  Liam qualified for three event finals where he came home with a Bronze medal on the rings, fifth place on the pommel horse and sixth on the high bar.
