The eighth annual Loonie Wars is underway.
The initiative started as a friendly fundraising competition between the Campbell River and Comox Valley Head Injury Societies and has now grown across the Island and Sunshine Coast.
Executive Assistant at the Campbell River Head Injury Society Jennifer Kay says the 75 bins have been distributed to businesses throughout the city, something she says is important to bringing more attention to brain injuries.
The initiative ends on February 28th.
