The village of Zeballos has won a prestigious award.
The village beat out 50 other communities across the province to win the prize for best tap water at the Best Of The Best Tap Water Taste Test show in Victoria.
Mayor Donnie Cox says the key to the pure taste of the water is simplicity.
“Good West Coast weather, lots of precipitation…. From the sky to the river, the river to the well and from the well to the tap.”
Cox notes it’s the first time Zeballos has received this award.
