John Hart Replacement Project Staff Giving Back

The partners in the John Hart Generating Station Replacement project are giving back to the community.

Aecon-SNC Lavelin Joint Venture has constructed cross country jumps at the Equestrian Centre on Parkside Drive for riding enthusiasts.

Project Manager Scott Marshall says it’s a necessary and important addition to the area.

“Some of the people on the site use the cross-country jumps. We noticed before there were no cross-country jumps in the region.”

Marshall also points out that’s not the only contribution they’ve made.

“We have donated to the rotary, local sports teams, the local carving, we’re very proud we get to move those around and we get to send them all around the city.”

Marshall says the builds are beneficial for local equestrians who won’t have to travel to Avalon to do their training and says these moves are a part of making a positive contribution to Campbell River.
