BC NDP Ready To Take Advantage Of A Historic Opportunity

A new government will soon be leading British Columbia.

Following the confidence vote the BC Liberals lost, former premier Christy Clark resigned.
That led Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon to ask John Horgan and the BC NDP to form government.

NDP MLA for the North Island Claire Trevena says her party is excited to show what they can do for British Columbians.

“In terms of style, there’s going to be a huge shift to being much more transparent.”

“We are going to be working for every person in British Columbia and we’re going to be doing it in a transparent manner.”

Though it’s uncharted territory for the party, Trevena states this is an exciting time in BC politics, and is looking forward to making effective change.

Among the things the NDP must do is prepare a cabinet and readying themselves for the fall sitting of the Legislature.
