City Cracking Down On Bad Behaviour

A rash of incidents at the Community Centre is forcing the City of Campbell River to crack down.

A wave of inappropriate acts have taken place at the Centre, including drug usage and alcohol consumption.

To counteract this, Property Services Manager Elle Brovold announced a new code of conduct has been instituted.

“This code of conduct has all of the rules & goes over all the rational for why. It also has something we’ve created called an Incident Response Sheet. It’s a list of all the incidents and behaviours we’re not willing to see in our facilities.”

Brovold is pleased with the new code, noting the code offers consistent guidelines for acceptable conduct at all city facilities.

The city quite a few buildings, especially in the downtown, and we want to be sure rules in places at the community centre are in place at our other facilities.”
