Frank James Park shoreline restoration

Thanks to the shoreline restoration work this month, the beach along Frank James Park in Campbell RiverĀ is now easier to reach and is better protected.

The beach is used to harsh erosion from the winter months, but now the City of Campbell River Parks Department has continued the waterfront restoration.

The project began last year in front of Sybil Andrew Cottage and will finished at the Highway 19A and Hilchey intersection.

General manager of Campbell River Parks, Recreation and Culture Ross Milnthorp says the renovations have made a big difference.
A few adjustments and re-paving of the sea walk were also included in the renovations.

If you would like to know more about the project, visit the city booth on Ocean Day June 6 at the Maritime Heritage Centre.
