Liquor Laws have changed in the province

Great change for craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries in B.C.

It was announced Tuesday that liquor-based business owners will now be able to sell each other’s products in their tastings rooms.

Coastal Black Winery owner and wine maker Able O’Brennan says he is picking up a two-tap kegerator today to put behind his tasting bar for this weekend.

O’Brennan says it’s nice from a licensing perspective because when they have weddings, they’ll already carry all the products they need to have. He adds liquor control can be quite intimidating and couples will no longer have to get special events licenses.

This law change also welcomes multiple opportunities to cross-promote local products.
