The City of Campbell River wants to see recycling in multi-family buildings by the end of the year.
Council has directed staff to draft a bylaw amendment.
Community Planning and Development Services Manager Amber Zirnhelt says property owners will be able to select which system will work best for their building.
Zirnhelt notes that the incentives being offered through the MMBC program will help to cover most of the cost of implementing the recycling program.
