Campbell River’s wood stove exchange program is back

For the six year now, Campbell River’s wood stove exchange program is back.

Spokesperson Terri Martin says the city has great air quality, but under certain weather conditions, or certain burning times we can have smoky hot spots from residential burning.

Martin says it’s a great program and it won’t last forever.

The city offers $250 rebates to residents until April 30.

The exchange program is made possible through a grant from the BC Lung Association with support from the Province of BC and the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association of Canada.
