In rain, or shine the Robron artificial turf field will withstand.
During yesterday’s rain and cold weather, Campbell River residents and soccer players came out to support the grand opening of the Robron Field.
Parks, Recreation, and Culture General Manager Ross Milnthorp says one of the benefits from the field is that it enables local teams to practice and train, and will allow more tournaments and games in the city.
Milnthorp says the response from teams so far have been it’s one of the best in the province, and certainly the best on the island.
