Agriculture Tax Credit in B.C.

The Provincial Government has introduced a tax credit to encourage food growers to donate food to food banks, charities and schools.

Producers will receive a tax credit of 25 percentĀ of the fair market value for any donated food.
Minister of Agriculture Norm Letnick says they’ve had great feedback from stakeholders about the concept behind the program.
The tax credit will be available through 2018 and will then be reviewed.
