STORM TAKE A 2-1 SERIES LEAD

Reece Costain scored the game winning goal, last night (Thursday) in Esquimalt that lifted the Campbell River Storm to a 2-1 victory and a 2-1 series lead over the Victoria Cougars.

Storm Associate Coach, Mike Wilson, describes the game.

Kobe Oishi scored Campbell River’s opening goal. John Kretzschmar picked up the lone Cougar’s marker. It was the 7th consecutive playoff game between these two talented teams decided by one goal.

There isn’t much turnaround, Game four of the League Championship is set for tonight at the Brindy and despite the toll these hard fought battles have had on the players, they will need to be prepared.

Tonight is the final Friday night home game of the season and its noisemaker night so they’re expecting a big crowd. Warm up is at 7:00, the puck drop is at 7:30.
