Power was out to the entire North Island including Port Hardy, Port McNeill and Port Alice for several hours Tuesday.
Ted Olynyk from BC Hydro explains what happened.
He says this is vandalism.
Olynyk says crews worked into the night and were able to restore power within a few hours.
