BCTF calls for binding arbitration

Campbell River teachers met this morning to discuss the ongoing labour dispute with the government.

Teachers rep Dave Harper says local teachers are echoing the BC Teachers Federation President’s call for binding arbitration.

Harper says many teachers he spoke with are feeling positive.

Both Education Minister Peter Fassbender and Premier Christy Clark have so far, rejected binding arbitration as a solution.
Harper says picket lines will stay up at local schools until the government has agreed to binding arbitration.
