The BC government has declared May as invasive species action month.
Coastal Invasive Species Committee spokesperson Rachelle McElroy says in Campbell River – Greenway’s Land Trust is working to rid the area of knotweed.
She says that knotweed can negatively affect infrastructure.
McElroy says you can contact the Committee to report any sightings of knotweed, or any other invasive species.
