As kids are out of school for a second week some parents are searching for learning alternatives, and many are reaching out to private tutors.
Laura Magowan from the Sunrise Learning Centre in Campbell River says parents are calling looking for programs to help their kids with math and reading and writing.
She says they are getting calls from parents who have kids who are struggling in the classroom as well as those who just want to make sure their kids are reaching their potential.
Magowan says some parents are also making sure their kid’s minds are active so they can hit the ground running when school starts again.
