The wildfire in Fort McMurray is now classified as being held.
That means it is not under control, but it also isn’t expected to grow.
The update is being called a huge breakthrough.
The fire hit Fort Mac in early May, and destroyed over two-thousand buildings, forcing more than 80-thousand people to evacuate.
Meantime, RCMP are now looking for information on what may have started the massive blaze..
Investigators have determined the fire was not started by a lightning strike, and was most likely the result of human activity.
Mounties are now trying to determine whether it was the result of a criminal offence.
