Crosswalk Art is here to stay

Campbell River welcomes a new painted crosswalk to its downtown core.

Ross Milnthorp says the public art community is tasked by councilĀ in developing public art in the community and this was one of the first projects.

Milnthorp says the design was chosen because it represents the proximity to the ocean, and the area it’s on used to be a waterfront.

He adds the crosswalk will be refurbished when it starts to wear out throughout the next three years, then council will look at another option after that time.
