Beginning August 3, the City of Campbell River will be holding free Wednesday night activities downtown.
Recreation program coordinator Linda Nagle says the city took a look at other communities and what attracts people to their downtown during the evenings.
She says food carts and markets were big factors.
Nagle says the first event will be a movie night with the new Jungle Book playing August 3, followed by a Chalkfest and an artisans market.
