A tentative deal has been struck between the BCTF and the government according to veteran mediator Vince Ready, although thanks to that media blackout, not a whole lot of other information right now.
Ready made the announcement just after 4 this morning.
He says that while the tentative agreement is in place, both sides still need to work on the fine print.
Reports say teachers will vote on the deal on Thursday, meaning they likely wouldn’t return to the classroom until Monday.
Both sides had been undergoing marathon negotiations in Richmond for the past five days.
