A second break in at Boatland – three outboard motors stolen

On Saturday September 13, 2014 at 10:28 am Campbell River Boatland reported a break and enter to their compound at 3125 Island Hwy.  The manager called to report the chain-link fence was cut and three kicker outboard motors were stolen from the compound.  The culprit(s) cut a hole in the fence just large enough to climb through.  At this time, we are waiting to get more information on those stolen motors including descriptions and serial numbers.

Evidence was recovered at the scene and is being examined by Campbell River RCMP Forensic Identification Section.  This is the second time in a week Campbell River Boatland has reported a break and enter.  Last weekend someone tried to drive through their steel roll down door, but no entry was gained.

If you have any information about this crime, please contact the Campbell River RCMP Detachment or if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
