Complaints to the City bylaw department jumped in 2013

Over the 2013 year 372 complaints were put in with the bylaw enforcement department at Campbell River City Hall.

City Clerk Peter Wipper says that is up from 161 complaints in 2011, he says this might be because Campbell Riverites know their complaints will be taken seriously and resolved by the local bylaw officer.

Wipper says most of the complaints involved the nuisance bylaw.

He says they have various ways of dealing with complaints.

Wipper says most of the files are resolved after a verbal or written request.
