Minimum wage is increasing

B-C’s minimum wage is going up as of today.
The minimum wage is going up by 40 cents to 10.85 an hour.
Dermod Travis, executive director of Integrity BC says with the increases in living expenses across the province – the bump in minimum wages won’t help people keep up
Travis says along with increases in rent, British Columbians have seen increases to MSP premiums, and utilities like hydro and natural gas – all of which make it harder for those making minimum wage to make ends meet.
