Campbell River city council has put the brakes on plans to create three new dog parks around town.
The off leash areas were to be put in at Sequoia Park, McIvor Lake and at Museum Park, but council has voted to defer the idea.
They had concerns about the annual maintenance costs of the parks and the fact there are other parks priorities identified as more important than off leash dog areas.
