Police ask for help identifying armed robbery suspect

On Friday October 17, 2014 at 7:06 pm, Campbell River RCMP responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Subway Restaurant at 220B Dogwood Street.

A lone male suspect produced a knife and demanded money from the clerk.  He took an undisclosed amount of cash from the till and fled on foot.  The clerk was not injured.

All available police resources attended including the police service dog who located the suspect track through the parking lot, but was lost.  It is believed he had a get-away vehicle or bike.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, stocky build, wearing blue jeans, a black plain long sleeved sweatshirt, black shoes and black balaclava or hat with bandana with a distinctive purple graphic on the front.

If you have any information about this male, please call the Campbell River RCMP Detachment or if you wish to remain anonymous, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or go onto their website.
