More details on that Campbell River medical emergency we told you about earlier on. RCMP say on October 30, at approximately 5:24 pm, Campbell River RCMP responded to a residence in the 800 block of South Alder Street for a medical emergency. It was determined a male inside that residence was deceased, and
had died within the preceding two days. His body was found by an acquaintance in his home.
We spoke with Barb McLintock with the BC Coroner’s Service, who tell us the 85 year old man, Karl Butkiewicz, was earlier charged in the death of his wife.
McLintock says the BC Coroners Service investigation continues, although foul play has now been ruled out.
