Campbell River teachers taking job action

Phases one of the teachers strike starts across BC today.

Here in Campbell River the president of theĀ Campbell River and District Teacher’s Association says there will be no disruptions to students what so ever.

Elaine Thompson says teachers are not going to be doing various administrative tasks, but they will still teach, write report cards and communicate with parents.

In some parts of BC the strike may mean recesses are canceled but Thompson says that’s unlikely to happen here.

Bargaining between the Province and the BC Teachers Federation continues today.
