It is the first of its kind in Canada, a program that sees teenagers team up with aviation experts and build a plane and its happening in Campbell River.
The program is called Teen Flight and students work with their mentors to build the plane outside class time and can get credit towards their high school graduation.

She says right now they are fundraising to come up with the money to buy the engine and avionics portions of the plane.
