A fire has badly damaged a house in the 100 block of Murphy street.
Fire Chief Ian Baikie says the fire started Sunday evening.
Baikie says nobody was hurt in the fire, the pets that were in the house at the time of the fire were able to get out.
He says right now they believe the fire started in the kitchen.
Baikie says there is significant fire damage to the kitchen and smoke and heat damage on the rest of the second floor.
