Campbell River firefighters saved a mans life Tuesday morning when they responded to a medical call.
Fire chief Ian Baikie says they were called out to a gas station in the Maple street area.
Baikie says the fire department does respond to many medical calls each year.
Baikie says this kind of outcome also rewards the crew for all the medical training they do.
