On Thursday, November 27, 2014 at approximately 1:00 pm, Campbell River RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a residence in 2000 block of Quinsam Road. Multiple ounces of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin were seized along with over ten thousand dollars. The subjects of the investigation were arrested approximately two hours later during a traffic stop and are currently in custody at the Campbell River RCMP Detachment.
A 41 year old male and a 36 year old female, both of Campbell River, are each facing two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, and the male is also facing a charge of Possession Contrary to Order relating to disobeying a firearms court order.
