Highway 19 northbound is back up and running. It had been closed off at Parksville earlier today while BC Hydro crews dealt with a fallen tree and downed power lines.
The problem got worse as more trees fell down while they were on the scene which caused a delay in getting the road reopened. Originally Drive BC believed it traffic would be flowing again around noon.
