The NIC Foundation helped a record number of Campbell River students this year. North Island College says more than $84,000 in scholarships and bursaries were handed out to 82 students from the city.
The NIC Foundation partners with individuals and organizations to help get money into the hands of students so they can further their educations. In total it handed out $290,000 to NIC students across the region this year.
