Long awaited pedestrian light to be installed downtown

Campbell River residents are getting a long-sought after flashing crosswalk light.

The new, pedestrian-activated light, is being installed at Ironwood and 14^th. Councillor Colleen Evans put a motion on the table to get the light done at Monday’s meeting.

The flashing light will be installed this year and will cost $15,000. The money is coming out of the Community Works Fund.
