Campbell River council has approved about $590,000 in funding for local organizations. The 2018 grant-in-aid recommendations were made by the Community Partnership Committee.
The total amount actually comes in below council’s grant-in-aid cap of 1.7 per cent of general revenues by about $124,000. There were 14 applications in total with 13 getting approval at Monday’s meeting.
Some of the organizations that will be getting the money are Haig-Brown House, the Tidemark Theatre, the Salmon Festival, the Art Gallery, the Museum, Volunteer Campbell River, Greenways Land Trust. and the Campbell River Art Expo.
