A fog advisory is in effect. It stretches along the east coast of the island from Campbell River down to Duncan.
Environment Canada says you can expect near zero visibility. The fog is expected to last throughout the rest of the week but should be patchier during the afternoons.
On top of that Environment Canada has issued a special air quality statement for Comox Valley. That’s because of high concentrations of fine particulates that are expected to last until this weather changes.
