A Campbell River couple has been arrested after a van was stolen.
The RCMP says the man and woman were taken in Wednesday. A stolen van had been spotted and after a combined effort from various departments in the RCMP led to the arrest.
The RCMP says over the past few months the RCMP says Campbell River has seen an increase in auto thefts, especially Ford F-350 pickups.
This couple was identified as suspects in those thefts. They’ve been charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
Corporal Ron Vlooswyk is reminding people to keep their car doors locked and their valuables out of sight.
