The Salmon Festival is getting bigger.
Campbell River city council has supported a plan to add a Highland Gathering alongside the logger sports events. That means things like bagpipe and drumming competitions and highland games like caber tossing.
Council endorsed the plan at Monday’s meeting. The Salmon Festival runs the second weekend of August at Nunns Creek Park. You can find more details about the Salmon Festival at its website.
