UPDATE: Wind warning remains in effect

Campbell River remains under a wind warning Wednesday. Environment Canada says the affected area stretches from the city down to Nanoose Bay.

The area is seeing gusts of up to 70 km/h thanks to an intense Pacific frontal system. Environment Canada says that’s strong enough to throw around loose objects or break tree branches.

You should be ready to adjust your driving to the windy conditions as well. The winds are expected to die down by this evening.
