Campbell River RCMP busy on New Year's Eve

Officers had a busy evening as Campbell Riverites got ready to ring in the New Year.
Corporal Poppy Hallam says they had 56 calls for service which is 10 more than the previous New Year’s Eve. They responded to complaints of noise form parties and complaints about people shooting off fire works, but no complaints of drunk drivers.

Hallam says police were handing out donated Tim Horton’s cards to designated drivers as a thank you.

She says police were busy on the streets as well.
Hallam says some people did end up did ring in the New Year from the local jail cells.
