The Strathcona Regional District is celebrating.
February 15th marked the SRD’s 10th anniversary. That day in 2008 the old Comox Strathcona Regional District was split into the SRD and the Comox Valley Regional District.
The SRD says since then the organization has grown and developed while strengthening programs and expanding the list of services offered. It adds SRD staff will be working with the Board to plan events which will celebrate the achievement as well as showcase the region.
The Strathcona Regional District is a partnership of four electoral areas and five municipalities providing services to approximately 43,000 residents.
