CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-A wind warning is in effect.
It stretches from Campbell River along the east coast of the island down to Nanoose Bay. Environment Canada says an intense frontal system is to blame.
The agency says you can expect gusts between 70 and 90 km/h. The wind should lighten up this evening.
In the meantime this wind could blow away loose objects and cause other damage. Environment Canada is monitoring the situation and will issue more updates as needed.
