Tahsis is losing it’s resident RCMP officer

The Village of Tahsis, just on the West Coast of the Vancouver Island, is going to be seeing a change in their policing in the future.

RCMP Spokesperson Darren Lagan says instead of a resident officer, RCMP officers from the Nootka Sound region will police the area.

He says the change is happening because there was only one officer stationed in Tahsis.

Lagan says the police presence in Tahsis will be unchanged.
