Campbell River Chamber launches downtown safety survey

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce wants to know if you feel safe downtown.

It’s launched an online survey asking people, particularly business owners, about their concerns around vagrancy. The chamber says its members’ concerns over those things have increased and the survey is a response to that.

The survey is six questions long. It asks things like if your business has a clear understanding of who to report vagrancy or drunk and disorderly incidents to and whether or not staff feel ready to handle those incidents.

The Chamber says it’s working with the Downtown BIA, the city and the RCMP to find solutions to the concerns. You can find the survey at this website.
