RCMP saluting Campbell River Tribal Canoe Journeys

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-The Campbell River RCMP is paying tribute to the 2017 Tribal Canoe Journey.

The BC Hydro box facing the detachment on Dogwood Street has been treated with a photo wrapping from last summer’s event that took place in the city.

It depicts a canoe, helmed by uniformed RCMP Constable Mike Martin, accompanied by RCMP members as well as The Honourable Judith Guichon, former Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, and The Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada.

The photo is in sepia, except for Martin and the Canadian flag.

Inspector Jeff Preston, the Campbell River RCMP commanding officer, says the photo is “a reflection of the city we live in and the community we work with and serve.”
