CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-If you’re looking to get into a career in security, North Island College has you covered. The school is offering free security guard training in Campbell River.
“The security industry on Vancouver Island continues to grow and security companies need qualified employees,” said Ian Pitcairn, security training instructor and recruiter for Footprints Security.
NIC’s Enhanced Security Guard program teaches students the skills they need to get into the industry. Along with security courses, students study traffic control, transportation of dangerous goods, workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS) and occupational first aid.
The free training is open to all qualified applicants, but you have to sign up by next Thursday. You can find more information at this website.
