UPDATED
CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C – Traffic is closed in both directions on the Gold River Highway near Doyle road, after an accident this afternoon.
Police are directing traffict to detour via Detweiler Road and Quinsam Road.
According to a witness at the scene, the accident happened around 2:00 pm, and one person was taken away on a stretcher.
RCMP have confirmed the incident, and added that some diesel has been spilled at the scene.
