Gold River Highway reopened after accident

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C – Both lanes on Gold River Highway have been re-opened after an accident this afternoon.

A witness at the scene said the accident happened around 2:00 pm, and one person was taken away on a stretcher.

According to DriveBC, both lanes were closed for about two hours before being reopened.

RCMP have confirmed the incident, and that some diesel has been spilled at the scene, though they could not confirm more details at this time.
