No injuries reported in Campbell River armed robbery

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – The Campbell River RCMP is investigating after an armed robbery at the 7-11 store on Dogwood Street.

The incident was reported to have happened Tuesday, June 19 at around 3:00 a.m.

Police responded to the scene, and were informed by the store employee that an unknown male entered the store carrying a wood dowel and a knife.

The male threatened the employee and smashed the glass countertop before running away with a small amount of cash.

The RCMP has recovered items related to the offence, which were seized for forensic investigation. The robbery is still under investigation.

Police stated that the male is around six feet tall, with a slender/skinny build. He was wearing black track pants, and a green jacket with a hood and had a blue item wrapped around his face to obscure his features.
